We stopped using this blog a few years ago, but now you're all at home, it seems like a good way to help you to keep making music!
This music blog is going to be updated regularly with suggestions of things to do, ways to make music, songs to sing, and examples of anything that you send in to share with the rest of the school community.
COMPOSE SOME MUSIC CHALLENGE:
First of all, here are some great free online music making tools and games. You can save and share your music on lots of them - why not ask your grownups to email your best recordings to the school office, and I'll put them up on this website next week!
- Chrome music lab - loads of cool ways of playing with electronic music
- Tonematrix - you know, that thing we do in class with all the squares...
- Groove Pizza - this is an awesome way of building beats
- Sampulator - fun electronic drumkit that uses your computer keyboard - record and save your best grooves!
- Qwertybeats - another fun electronic drumkit that uses your computer keyboard
- Superlooper - and even another electronic drumkit that uses your computer keyboard
- Incredibox - build catchy tunes, using vocal sounds. Can you find the hidden bonus tracks?
- Drumbit - build your own drumbeats!
- Beat Maker - another way to build and record drumbeats
- Audiotool - ok, this one is a bit complicated. It's like tonematrix's big sibling. You'll have to get a grownup to help you make a free account, but if you can get the hang on it, it's really powerful. Maybe try this one if you're in Year 6, find garageband in school too easy, and want a bigger challenge...
Hopefully you'll find something interesting in all of that. If you can save any of your work, and get your grownup to email it to the school office, I'll put it up on this blog next week. Get working...
